This is a winter picture of the lower site by Moose Pond. We chose this site because it was close to the water table and we could measure how much soil moisture was available to the trees by this site. We will compare the soil moisture at the low to the soil moisture at the upper site. The difference in height between the two locations is 25 vertical feet.
